Humboldt Commons, also known as Life Plan Humboldt (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a California-based company.   • Tools used: HubSpot, Google Tag Manager, GA4.
  • Purpose: Lead generation, communication, and security.
  • Internet/Network Activity: Includes browsing history, search history, and interactions with our website.
  • Tools used: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity.
  • Purpose: Website optimization and performance analysis.
  • Sensory and Behavioral Data: Includes heatmaps, mouse movements, and session replays.
  • Tools used: Microsoft Clarity.
  • Purpose: Improving user experience and identifying technical site errors.
  • Inferences: Information drawn from any of the above to create a profile about your preferences.
  • Tools used: Google Analytics, HubSpot.
  • Purpose: Marketing segmentation and providing relevant content.
  • Tools used: DonorPerfect
  • Purpose: Donor management.

Retention Period: We retain the data collected above for as long as necessary to fulfill the business purposes outlined or as required by applicable California law.

3. How We Use Third-Party Services

We utilize specific “Service Providers” and “Third Parties” to facilitate our operations:

  • HubSpot: We use HubSpot to manage our contact database and host our forms. Data you enter into our forms is stored securely within the HubSpot CRM.
  • Google Analytics (GA4) & Tag Manager (GTM): We use these to measure site traffic. GTM helps us deploy and manage these tracking scripts efficiently.
  • Microsoft Clarity: This tool records user sessions and creates heatmaps, allowing us to see how visitors navigate our site.
  • UserWay: To ensure our site remains WCAG-accessible, UserWay may store your preferred accessibility settings (such as high contrast or enlarged text) to provide a consistent experience during your visit.
  • DonorPerfect: We utilize DonorPerfect for donor management, leveraging its secure platform to efficiently track contributions, manage donor relationships, and support our fundraising efforts on behalf of the community.
  • Secure Payment Processing (SafeSave): To process donations securely, we use SafeSave Payment Services, which is a PCI-DSS compliant gateway. Credit card information is encrypted and processed directly through SafeSave. Humboldt Commons & Life Plan Humboldt do not store sensitive credit card numbers or bank information on our own servers or in our local files.

4. Data Security and Access

All communication between your browser and our donation pages is secured using 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) encryption. Access to your personal information is restricted to authorized staff who need to know that information to process your contributions or fulfill your requests.

5. “Sale” or “Sharing” of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. However, under California law, “sharing” includes the transfer of data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

By using Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics, we may “share” your network activity with Microsoft and Google to assist us in improving our advertising and user experience.

6. Your California Privacy Rights

As a California resident, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Know: You may request the specific pieces of information we have collected about you since January 1, 2022.
  • Right to Delete: You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to Correct: You may request that we rectify inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sharing: You may direct us not to share your data for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you services, provide a different level of quality, or change your pricing for exercising these rights.
