April 1, 2026 —MCKINLEYVILLE, Calif. — A new nonprofit senior living community planned for McKinleyville is inviting older adults to sign up early for a chance to live at Humboldt Commons as the project moves forward in its planning phase.
Humboldt Commons, a community-led development designed for adults aged 62 and older, has officially opened enrollment for its Future Residents Priority List. Organizers said the list helps determine interest and will guide the order in which prospective residents are contacted once homes become available.
